Grounded is a community that aims to provide space. Space in your body and space in your mind. In our busy, sometimes confusing world, it is normal to feel alone and lost. We’d like to change that.

Mandy Lord

As the founder of Grounded, fitness has always been a life passion for Mandy. In recent years, her focus has shifted toward longevity, helping people improve and increase their health-span is what she’s all about. For over two decades she has been helping others discover courage within themselves, becoming better versions of who they are while empowering them with the tools and knowledge to ensure an active and positive lifestyle.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Certificate IV Personal Trainer

  • Advanced certificate in guiding and teaching meditation

  • Meditation to support pain, grief and dying

  • Mindfulness and Buddhist psychology

  • Meditation workshops and classes

  • Purna Yoga teacher

  • 24 years experience in the fitness industry

 

Kimberley Brazel

Kimberley taught Classical Ballet and Pilates for over 15 years in elite Ballet schools across NSW, including her own. A diagnosis of Rheumatoid Arthritis in her early 30’s saw Kimberley include yoga in her recovery regime and now she includes all three disciplines in her Floor Barre classes. Kimberley is a homebody whose passions include hospitality, interior design, and gardening. She shares her forever home with her husband and 3 beautiful furbabies.

Emily Herbert

Emily studied yoga in Goa, India and mat Pilates in NZ. She loves helping people feel fabulous in their bodies through functional and empowering movement. Em enjoys exploring the intersection between the mind and body, linking strengthening and lengthening practices with breath work, mindfulness, and central nervous system engagement. When she’s not in the studio she’s writing articles and hosting podcasts as a freelance journalist and loves bringing her enjoyment of words into a yogic setting with beautiful yoga nidras. At home, Em hangs out with her sculptor husband, Adam, their mini-dachshunds Kip and Plum, and their toddler son, Huckleberry.

Bec Vantilburg

Bec is a country girl with a city heart. She’s worked in disability support for over 25 years with some incredibly inspiring people. Her love for health and fitness runs deep, knowing that time is a gift and to appreciate it you must become more aware of your mind and the noise it can create. Yoga has taught her to be present in the moment, kind to her body and appreciate what it is capable of doing today.
